About the Committee

2025 Pride Committee Members:


The Pride Committee works collaboratively with the City of Watertown's Events TeamEvents Manager, Tammy McKenna, is a Co-Chair of the Committee.  Learn more about the members of the Events Team here.

Harrison Ford, Co-Chair - Harrison is the Head Clerk of Watertown Public Works and has years of experience volunteering for local environmental and LGBTQIA+ causes. A West End original, he got involved with Watertown Pride in 2024 and co-produced a Tipsy Tea Party, the City’s first-ever drag show hosted at the Commander’s Mansion (with a fabulous lineup to boot!). This year he is excited to work with the Pride Committee as Co-Chair to bring the community together for an inclusive, vibrant, and impactful event.

Andy Cerier, Vice Chair  - Retired software development professional. Tech geek. GTD Black Belt. Gay man since before disco. Doggy daddy.

Carey Conkey-Finn (she/they) - Carey works for Watertown Free Public Library as the Supervisor of Teen Services. Over three decades she has served Watertown youth and has a strong commitment to not only meeting their informational needs, and more importantly, she encourages teens to engage in civic life so they can get their voices heard in the community. She and the Library organized Watertown Pride Extravaganza in 2022 and 2023.

Susan LaDue - Susan is a retired academic who taught French and Women's Studies at UMass, Boston.  She also worked as a Human Resources Manager at Digital Equipment Corporation, and owned and operated her own dog daycare and grooming business.  She served on the Northborough, MA town Personnel Board for years and worked with the Boston Pride organizers in the early years of gay rights.  Presently she writes detective fiction, works with her synagogue on an equitable peace in Palestine/Israel, and advocates for climate mitigation with Watertown Faces Climate Change.  She's delighted to help organize the Watertown Pride festivities.

Alex Nihill - Alex is a third grade teacher who enjoys running, attending sporting events, and spending time outside with family and friends. She has lived in Watertown with her partner for the past few years and is excited to be able to contribute to the community as a member of the Pride Committee.


Todd A. Rivers, LMT - Todd is a graduate and former faculty member of Muscular Therapy Institute/ Cortiva Institute – School of Massage in Watertown and is now in private practice here in Watertown. Todd has years of experience with volunteer community organizations such as NH Pride (Founding Member in 1997), Project Bread, Waltham House, Leadership Brainery and most recently was Board member of The Historical Society of Watertown. Todd takes great pride in being part of the LGBTQIA+ community and feels it is important for every citizen to learn about and support it. 


Xin Peng - Xin works as a full time Sr Software Engineering Manager for a mental health platform company. As a first-generation immigrant, Xin's activism focuses on promoting equity and inclusion with a focus on Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) populations and establishing solidarity between AAPI populations and other underrepresented groups. Xin first became involved in community work in Watertown when he organized a rally at Watertown Square after the 2021 shootings of Asian Americans in Atlanta. Before moving to the US, Xin volunteered for the National Intercity Games of the People's Republic of China and as a teacher for a school in a poverty-stricken mountainous area. Xin co-established and ran an AAPI committee at his last employer, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts, and volunteering at a farm with Boston Gleaners. Currently Xin also serving as Watertown Human Rights Commissioner, the Chair of World in Watertown, and co-founder of Chinese American Association of Watertown.
